To meet the request made by the American company RMS TITANIC, IFREMER and AQUA PLUS chose PRONAL to manufacture lifting units(floats) to position and lift to the surface flood lights installed at a depth of 4,000 m, close to the TITANIC. The four 3-ton (each) flood lights were used to  take films of the ship's hull to reconstitute the scenario of the disaster as faithfully as possible. The four lifting units (filled with fuel oil) were selected as the material and assembly technique used guarantee high resistance to both hydrocarbon and pressure difference. Furthermore, these lifting units were manufactured in only 15 days due to adverse weather conditions which could have jeopardized safety during filming.
